Blood Moon
Acts 2:20-21 AMP
The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the obvious day of the Lord comes--that great and notable {and} conspicuous and renowned [day].
And it shall be that whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord [invoking, adoring, and worshiping the Lord--Christ] shall be saved.
Rev 6:12-17 AMP
When He [the Lamb] broke open the sixth seal, I looked, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun grew black as sackcloth of hair, [the full disc of] the moon became like blood.
And the stars of the sky dropped to the earth like a fig tree shedding its unripe fruit out of season when shaken by a strong wind.
And the sky rolled up like a scroll {and} vanished, and every mountain and island was dislodged from its place.
Then the kings of the earth and their noblemen and their magnates and their military chiefs and the wealthy and the strong and [everyone, whether] slave or free hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains,
And they called to the mountains and the rocks, Fall on (before) us and hide us from the face of Him Who sits on the throne and from the deep-seated indignation {and} wrath of the Lamb.
For the great day of His wrath (vengeance, retribution, indignation) has come, and who is able to stand before it?
Yesterday Dec 21, 2010 (and in some parts of the world Dec 20, 2010) the world has just experienced a heavenly phenomenon called a Perfect Lunar Eclipse. It is the occasion when the moon is engulfed in the shadow of the earth and the moon turns into copper red or "blood moon" as the ancients called it.
(in 2006, the Lord told me to "watch the times and the seasons." so from that time on i studied Israel's feasts and times when the Lord wanted me to practice them to "draw near" to Him. at that time in my country anyway, it wasnt popular for the christian community to adopt customs in the jewish feasts. they called it "judiasing" and it was shunned as inappropriate and going back to legalism. but may i remind that the Lord said,
Matt 5:17-20 AMP
"Do not think that I have come to do away with {or} undo the Law or the Prophets; I have come not to do away with {or} undo but to complete {and} fulfill them.
For truly I tell you, until the sky and earth pass away {and} perish, not one smallest letter nor one little hook [identifying certain Hebrew letters] will pass from the Law until all things [it foreshadows] are accomplished.
For I tell you, unless your righteousness (your uprightness and your right standing with God) is more than that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven."
Whoever then breaks {or} does away with {or} relaxes one of the least [important] of these commandments and teaches men so shall be called least [important] in the kingdom of heaven, but he who practices them and teaches others to do so shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
It is good for a follower of Christ to know the seasons and the times so that he may know what to do and to walk accordingly. Of course, i will stress that our righteousness comes from the finished work of the Cross and the shed Blood of JESUS and not on our obeying or keeping the laws, even the Torah. (Eph 2:8-10) )
These are treacherous and terrible times, the Lord warned us and we should never be caught off guard.
Matt 24:32-34 AMP
From the fig tree learn this lesson: as soon as its young shoots become soft and tender and it puts out its leaves, you know of a surety that summer is near.
So also when you see these signs, all taken together, coming to pass, you may know of a surety that He is near, at the very doors.
Truly I tell you, this generation (the whole multitude of people living at the same time, in a definite, given period) will not pass away till all these things taken together take place.
Matt 16:1-4 AMP
NOW THE Pharisees and Sadducees came up to Jesus, and they asked Him to show them a sign (spectacular miracle) from heaven [attesting His divine authority].
He replied to them, {When it is evening you say, It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,}
{And in the morning, It will be stormy today, for the sky is red and has a gloomy and threatening look. You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.}
A wicked and morally unfaithful generation craves a sign, but no sign shall be given to it except the sign of {the prophet} Jonah. Then He left them and went away.
Signs are for a purpose: it is to give us hope and a direction for our lives. He rebuked the pharisees for accurately interpreting the signs in the physical heaven, but failed to interpret the signs of the times in the Heaven of heavens, or the signs of spiritual and eternal significance. but in these last days, the physical and the spiritual are coming together, just as the physical Israel and the spiritual Body of Christ is merging. and they shall be ONE MAN. that is also reflected in the prayer of our Lord, "Let Your Will be done on earth, as it is in Heaven." the unseen must be reflected in the seen.
for many in the Body, the Lord has been making us place a significance on the eclipses and the times when it occurs. and this last lunar eclipse is a SIGN from the Lord.
Luke 21:10-19
Then He told them, Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. [II Chron. 15:6; Isa. 19:2.]
There will be mighty {and} violent earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences (plagues: malignant and contagious or infectious epidemic diseases which are deadly and devastating); and there will be sights of terror and great signs from heaven.
But previous to all this, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, turning you over to the synagogues and prisons, and you will be led away before kings and governors for My name's sake.
This will be a time (an opportunity) for you to bear testimony.
Resolve {and} settle it in your minds not to meditate {and} prepare beforehand how you are to make your defense {and} how you will answer.
For I [Myself] will give you a mouth {and} such utterance and wisdom that all of your foes combined will be unable to stand against or refute.
You will be delivered up {and} betrayed even by parents and brothers and relatives and friends, and [some] of you they will put to death.
And you will be hated (despised) by everyone because [you bear] My name {and} for its sake.But not a hair of your head shall perish. [I Sam. 14:45.]
By your steadfastness {and} patient endurance you shall win the true life of your souls.
For just as Joseph the dreamer told his family that the sun, moon and 12 stars bowed to him, Jacob his father interpreted the sun to be him, his wife the moon and his brothers the stars. (Gen 37:9-11) that is the physical Israel. but the spiritual Israel is this: Jesus is the Sun, the Bride is the moon and those who shine like the stars in the heaven are those who are now the children of the King who are valiantly doing His work of the Kingdom. and as the moon went under the earth's influence (earth being the unsaved world), so the Bride will be humbled at this time. the world will try to make us submit to its rules and its ways. truly a time of testing. it is a time where the Sun seemingly is blocked from sight and all the moon sees is the Earth... it is a time to let the Spirit arise.
"and the moon will turn to blood..." it is a time of death, it is a time of releasing all we have, even our lives to the Supreme Lordship of our King. and as the eclipse signalled the time of the beginning of the winter solstice, it is the beginning of the time of the coldness of hearts.
Matt 24:6-13
And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not frightened {or} troubled, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.
For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in place after place;
All this is but the beginning [the early pains] of the birth pangs [of the intolerable anguish].
Then they will hand you over to suffer affliction {and} tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake.
And then many will be offended {and} repelled {and} will begin to distrust {and} desert [Him Whom they ought to trust and obey] {and} will stumble and fall away and betray one another {and} pursue one another with hatred.
And many false prophets will rise up and deceive {and} lead many into error.
And the love of the great body of people will grow cold because of the multiplied lawlessness {and} iniquity,
But he who endures to the end will be saved.
it is a serious hour, and a serious warning for those who care to accept it. but the Lord never gave us anything that we couldnt handle. He gave us a way out, ENDURE TO THE END. when there is multiplied lawlessness and iniquity, hold on to JESUS for dear life and ENDURE. when pastors and prophets whom you trust give you a false word and you set your hopes on a baseless word, HOLD ON and ENDURE TO THE END. when you feel your heart is getting stone cold, and there is no feeling nor strength left, keep looking UP, for your salvation draweth near.
Prayer:
LORD GOD, we are Your children and we submit entirely to Your Lordship. in this is a season of great hardship You promised to NEVER leave us nor forsake us. pls grant that You Church will become UNITED in one heart of surrender to You in love, and to obey Your word. help us to do Your will on earth as it is in Heaven NOW, in JESUS name. AMEN
